Michigan State Representative - District 63
Rep. Jay DeBoyer was elected to serve the 63rd House District in November 2022.
The 63rd District encompasses southern St. Clair County and northern Macomb County.
Jay serves as a member on the following committees:
- House Elections Committee
- Economic Development and Small Business Subcommittee on Housing
Jay is dedicated to bringing practical and community-focused leadership to Lansing, with a strong focus on serving the unique needs of St. Clair and Macomb counties.
Throughout his career, Jay has been deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents in the area, striving to create an environment where families can thrive, work, and enjoy their surroundings.
With a background in sports boosters, coaching, and active participation in local boards and commissions, Jay possesses a deep understanding of the everyday issues that matter to our hardworking citizens and their families.
Prior to his current role as State Representative, Jay dedicated 11 years to serving as the clerk and register of deeds for St. Clair County. In addition, he has also held positions as a trustee and supervisor in Clay Township. His extensive experience in public service has equipped him with valuable insights into the needs of our local communities.
Furthermore, Jay has been a proud small business owner in the area since 1994, specializing in engineered lumber. He recognizes that these local businesses are the cornerstone of our state and local economies, providing essential jobs and driving growth.
Jay graduated from Algonac High School in 1988 and attended St. Clair Community College from 1989 to 1990.
Jay has a strong connection with the community and a deep sense of responsibility towards its betterment.
